Terms of service

The service

DeskOnCall replies to enquiries and books appointments from the services, prices, hours and answers you approve. It does not give medical, financial or legal advice. You approve every drafted answer before go-live, and you can read every conversation.

Price

Basic is R2,999/month. Reception is R3,999/month once phone and WhatsApp are live. Growth founding is R7,999/month for the first clients, then R9,999/month. R7,999/month founding price for the first 3 clients (then R9,999/month). 3-month minimum. There is no setup fee. Everyone gets a 14-day free trial: nothing is charged today, and the first charge is on day 15 (14 days after sign-up), then monthly in advance. Reception and Growth are billed at the Basic price until an operator marks the plan active. The price stored on the account at sign-up is the price used after that.

14-day free trial

Day 1 is the sign-up day. The trial lasts 14 days. We email you on day 9, six days before the first charge on day 15, with the amount and the date. Cancel from the billing page before day 15 and nothing is charged. After day 15, each month is billed in advance.

Healthcare

Clinics, physios, dentists, vets and aesthetics businesses can start the 14-day free trial. The desk stays closed to customers until the POPIA review for that business is finished. Details are on the clinics page.

Payment and cancellation

Checkout creates a PayFast subscription with an initial amount of R0, monthly frequency, and a recurring amount of R2,999/month. The billing date is day 15. Reception and Growth stay on that Basic amount until an operator marks the plan active. The stored price then applies from the next billing cycle. Basic and Reception: Cancel any time; billing stops at the end of the month. Growth founding: Cancel any time after the 3-month minimum; billing stops at the end of the month. You cancel from the billing page, which calls the PayFast subscription API. Nothing is charged during the 14-day free trial on Basic and Reception. A Growth founding minimum starts at sign-up. After a paid month has started, cancellation takes effect at the end of that paid month. There is no refund for a partial month. See the cancellation page.

Failed payments

A failed payment is flagged, you are emailed, and the desk stays available for a 10-day grace period. Further emails go out on days 3, 7 and 10. If the card is still failing 30 days after the first failure, the subscription is cancelled.

Your customers' information

You are responsible for the reception you run. DeskOnCall processes customer contact details for that reception. The privacy notice and the trust page describe the limits. You tick POPIA consent at checkout.
